Egypt plans to host and oversee the R&D of emerging technologies in the field of healthcare, agriculture, education, energy, transportation, infrastructure and smart cities.
Internet usage has been growing rapidly in Egypt throughout the past decade as part of the digital boom. The number of internet users has increased to almost 6 times higher than what it was in 2010.
The rapid growth of AI presents an opportunity to provide solutions to some of its most pressing problems, such as food security, healthcare and financial services. And it could lead to eventual economic growth and inclusive development.
